Among the morphologies and materials studies, semi conducting nanowires have received particular attention due to their potential application in different areas such as photovoltaic, photo catalysis and gaz sensing.<\/p>\n<p>Research developed in my group is devoted to nanomaterials synthesis and thin films preparation for different applications. In this presentation, I will focus on TiO<sub>2<\/sub> nanowires prepared hydrothermally and it\u2019s doping, as an efficient way to improve the performance of TiO<sub>2<\/sub> photoanade [1, 2].<\/p>\n<p>[1] A. Yanpeng, RSC Advances, 5, (2015) 7007-7017.<\/p>\n<h2>Biography<\/h2>\n<p>Abdelhafed Taleb is associate professor at University of Pierre &amp; Marie Curie (UPMC) in the \u201cInstitut de recherche de Chimie Paris\u201d (IRCP \/ ENSCP), where he is leading the group \u201cElaboration and Modelling of Nanostructred Films\u201d group. He received his PhD diploma in nanomaterials science under the supervision of Prof. Marie Paul Pileni from UPMC in Paris in 1998. During his PhD, he pointed out a new collective\u2019s properties due to nanoparticles organisation. In 2000, he joined the UPMC, where he worked on the synthesis of inorganic-organic hybrid nanomaterials and the development of new strategies to assemble them in different structures. In 2005, he joined Jean Pierre Badiali\u2019s group where he focused on the corrosion process simulation as a new way to prepare nanomaterials. Since 2009, he leads the group focusing on the design of nanostructured films with novel properties and their applications in different areas such as sensing, self-cleaning coating, photovoltaic (DSSC), anticorrosion coating, magnetic storage etc \u2026 He has more than 18 years of experience in nanomaterials synthesis, characterizations and the study of their physical properties and their applications.
