By Dr Abdelhafed Taleb, Chimie ParisTech, Institut de Recherche de Chimie Paris, Paris, France & Universit\u00e9 Pierre et Marie Curie, Paris, France.<\/strong> Abdelhafed Taleb is associate professor at University of Pierre & Marie Curie (UPMC) and the \u201cInstitut de recherche de Chimie Paris\u201d (IRCP \/ ENSCP), where he is leading the \u201cElaboration and Modelling of Nanostructred Films\u201d group. He received his PhD diploma in nanomaterials science under the supervision of Prof. Marie Paul Pileni from UPMC in Paris in 1998. During his PhD, he pointed out a new collective\u2019s properties due to nanoparticles organization. In 2000, he joined the UPMC, where he worked on the synthesis of inorganic-organic hybrid nanomaterials and the development of new strategies to assemble them in different structures of coating. In 2005, he joined Jean Pierre Badiali\u2019s group where he focused on the corrosion process simulation as a new way to prepare nanomaterials. Since 2009, he leads the group focusing on the design of nanostructured films with novel architectures and their applications in different areas such as electrochemical sensing, self-cleaning (superhydrophobic) coating, photovoltaic (DSSC), Li batteries, anticorrosion coating, magnetic storage supports etc \u2026 He has more than 18 years of experience in nanomaterial synthesis, characterizations, the study of their physical properties and their applications.
