T3 – Introduction to Data Analysis using Matlab Tools

Nowadays, researcher are increasingly deals with datasets. In this tutorial, you will learn how to use MATLAB for data analysis and modeling process from data access using measured data (for example from wind farm, solar park, battery, ….).

In the end of this tutorial, you will be able to manage your own datasets and be able to model your own system for your project using Matlab tools.

Program overview

  • Access and import data from different file formats (Microsoft Excel, txt, …)
  • Use Matlab tools for Data exploration, visualization and customize figures
  • Perform data analysis and fitting
  • Generate reports

Biography of trainer

Hanane HEMI is a Postdoctoral research scientist at SASV group at LIS UMR CNRS 7020, Marseille, France. She received a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering (2015) at Université du Quebec à Trois-Rivières, Trois-Rivières, QC, Canada, a Master degree in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering (2009) at University of Strasbourg, Strasbourg, France, a Master degree in Industriel IT and Automated Systems (2008) at Strasbourg 1 University, Strasbourg, France.
Her research focuses on battery system modelling to improvement of battery system reliability and operational performance. During the two Master degree achieved in France allowed her to acquire a double competence in electrical engineering and mechanical engineering. This dual expertise has led to work on projects in modeling and control of mechatronic systems. In addition, during her Ph.D. thesis, she has got a solid experience in energy optimization vehicle with multiple energy sources.
