Call For Papers
The Seventh Edition of the International Renewable and Sustainable Energy Conference (IRSEC’19) aims to provide an international forum to facilitate discussion and knowledge exchange of the state-of-the-art research findings and current and future challenges and opportunities related with all facets and aspects of renewable and sustainable energy. The target public of IRSEC’19 includes all interested people from academia, industry and government, particularly, researchers, policy-makers, engineers, PhD and Masters students and other specialists interested in all issues related to renewable and sustainable energy.
The scope of IRSEC’19 covers a broad range of hot topics including renewable energy technologies, energy efficiency, green energy, climate change, sustainable energy systems and smart grid. Several workshops are dedicated to the application of solar energy for the desalination technology, water treatment, water pumping, and reuse, including the related sciences and technology for developing efficient technologies and scalable infrastructure to meet potable water demands.
IRSEC’19 is an IEEE technically co-sponsored conference . All papers will be submitted to IEEE for potential inclusion in IEEE Xplore.
Three Minutes Thesis (3MT)
PhD students are warmly invited to take an active part of 3MT (Three Minutes Thesis). Candidates have 3 minutes to present a compelling oration on the significance of their ongoing work and eventually encountered issues (1 slide to be beforehand uploaded). It is an occasion for students to consolidate their ideas so they can present them concisely at the end of each workshop or session to an audience of experts.
Best Paper Awards
The conference will have Best Student Paper Award and the Best Student Poster Award, which will be announced and bestowed at the conference closing session.
The announcement of the student achievement will be visible on the conference webpage of IRSEC’18, indicating the achievement of the student and their home university.
A voucher for a free or reduced registration fee in the next IRSEC conference is available and given if the presenter attends the closing session and receives the award.
Selection Criteria
The awards will be conferred to the author(s) of a paper presented at the conference, selected by the Program/Conference/Consortium Chairs.
The decision criterion will consider both the paper quality (assessed by the Program Committee), and the oral presentation quality (feedback given by session chairs at the conference venue). As such, in order to enable a final ranking in a timely manner:
Papers selected as candidates for best paper awards will be exclusively presented in sessions on the first or second days of the conference.
Selected Students should exclusively present to “Best Student Paper Award” and “Best Poster Award”, though authors may include senior members.
