New hybrid plants, tailored to a specific user, location and financing demands will determine the future of the technology. This talk will describe and reflect upon experiences from on-going projects and R&D initiatives from Abengoa in relation to CSP and TES. Abengoa will share some experiences from Cerro Dominador in Chile and Noor Energy 1 in Dubai. The role of Abengoa in other EU R&D projects, such as the SCAREBEUS and SOLARSCO2OL, will also be briefly described.
Biography
Cristina holds a PhD in Industrial Engineering and Master in Process Engineering. She worked as a Process Engineer in the international Spanish oil company CEPSA from 1999 to 2006, in charge of the process optimization of the petrochemical facilities and utilities. She joined Abengoa in 2006 as Director of R&D in charge of international R&D projects for the development of concentrated solar technology. Responsible for the design, construction and commissioning of demo plants for the evaluation of CSP technologies in the Solucar R&D Platform in Seville. She is Head of the Innovation since 2018 in Abengoa Energia.
Throughout her career, Cristina has led more than 20 international R&D projects, and has participated in more than 12 CSP commercial plants as technical advisor. She holds 13 international patents and has published more than 35 papers in indexed journals.
