Prof. Rachid El Bachtiri graduated in electrical engineering from the Mohammadia School of Engineers (EMI), Rabat, Morocco in 1988, and holder of a PhD degree in power electronics from the Catholic University of Louvain, Belgium in 1997. He taught Electrical Engineering and Renewable Energy in the High School of Technology (EST), Fez University, Morocco. His research interests include Power Electronics, PV plants, Wind turbines and their Control. Currently, he is the Head of Processes, Renewable Energies and Environment Laboratory, coordinator of professional license “Renewable Energy Technology and Energy Efficiency”, Responsible of the research group “Research on Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics and Renewable Energies“, and expert at National Center for Scientific and Technical Research (CNRST). Prof. El Bachtiri is Technical Committee member of many scientific journals and International Conferences. He published more than 50 research papers in reputed journals in the field of photovoltaic and wind energy. He co-authored 2 book chapters and supervised a dozen of PhD thesis.
