For Energy Investors, the cost of energy, ancillary services and power dispatch ability on demand are the three main factors to consider when deciding on power sources.
In order to be attractive, CSP has to be able to demonstrate high performances in all these three factors.
The CSP plants built to date have been in majority utility scale and has not grown at a speed of solar PV plants that are considered by energy market players as a first choice due to their competitive cost, ease of deployment and reduced risks.
In this Workshop, we will give answers to the following main questions:
– What are the lessons learned from CSP commercial projects and the perspectives from the respective developers/operators about the market?
– What are the main technology drivers that will enable CSP to be more attractive to energy investors?
