In fact, the anaerobic digestion process allows significant organic depollution effluents or residues and the production of renewable energy through the valorisation of the bio-methane produced. This leads to a significant reduction in greenhouse gases. Moreover, after the production of the biogas, a residual byproduct called digestate is obtained. In order to close the loop and respect the objectives of the circular economy, it is essential to plan a sustainable method of recovery and use of this digestate. Since the aim of the circular economy is to preserve products, materials and components at their maximum usefulness and value at all times. There is no universal method for the recovery and utilization of the digestate, as this choice depends on several determining factors. These factors are essentially linked to the origin of the substrate used, the composition of the digestate and the geographical proximity of the plant.
The objective of this presentation is to indicate the conditions in terms of the closing loop to achieve circular economy goals. We will present some bioenergy combined systems in which we could use several biomass conversion types and also some example of renewable energy combined systems.

Biography

Prof. Dr. Hassan El Bari has obtained the PhD in Material Sciences from INPL (France) in 1987 and also has Doctorat d’Etat in Mechanical Engineering, University Mohamed V, Rabat – Morocco-1998.
