All forms of hydrogen have taken centre stage worldwide for their potential to expand the global energy economy. The most common being green hydrogen can be used as energy storage, energy carrier towards decarbonizations and forming part of the energy mix. Several African countries have good prerequisites to produce green hydrogen; West Africa alone has the potential to generate up to 165,000 terawatt-hours of green hydrogen every year!
As the investments in renewable energy increases across the continent, green hydrogen potential rises simultaneously.
So, what role can Green Hydrogen utilization play in Africa?
This presentation highlights the potential for green hydrogen and how Africa has an opportunity to become a global green hydrogen powerhouse.
